We came, We saw, We Prawned!!!

This mini prawning trip was a rather impromptu one as it was to celebrate Daniel's final night as being a Bachelor so we brought him Prawning(his first time too!) ala bachelor night party, till the wee hours of the morning!
Ming Hui and Bryan were damn good at prawning, while the rest of us were trying our hand at it for the first time..:)
After prawning for some time, a funny-weird incident occured, here's what happened:
Bryan fished a prawn out and threw it in the netholder. What followed shortly after was that this other prawn came swimming near the surface, in Daniel direction! It suddenly vanished into the waters when it met the netholder in front of Daniel. So, instinctively, Daniel lifted up the netholder in searh of the wandering prawn and it was actually right smacked latched onto the outside of the netholder(like, WTH? where got prawns give themselves up willingly?), which Daniel quickly scooped the prawn INTO the net. We were all thinking if it was because the two prawns were lovers or siblings, whereby Bryan had fished one up and the other, scurried straight for Daniel. Now that caught all of us by surprise. >_<
Ahha, Ming Hui's proudest catch of the day, which unfortunately led Kenny's fingers to 'draw blood' with its nasty pincers while trying to unhook the prawn off..
The hours went by fast, and so did our hunger increased! Now that our time is up at the prawning site, here's what we caught so far! :D *stomach starts grumbling louder*
Now, off to the BBQ site! But first, we have to prep the prawns to 'be ready' for barbeque-ing!
And so, we left it to the prawning veterans, Ming Hui and Bryan to guide us how to prepare them. First, we have to rinse them in salt water.
*adds a whole lot of salt while prawns squirm in pain in the sink*
Next, we drain the excess water and leave the prawns in clean buckets, and then we add SOMEMORE SALT on them and SHAKE THE BUCKET vigorously to ensure all the prawns have ample salt on them, to remove the afterstench and I guess it also makes the food taste better, less fishy? :)
TADAH! Now off to the BBQ pit! HURRAY!!! Soon, our prawn feast will be ready!

The end product. This was one of the first few prawns that were done and where we remembered to SNAP A PICTURE OF IT. LOLS. Its meat was sweet and succulent, not like any other prawns we've had outside before :D:D:D
Thats the last of the pictures cos...we were too busy and consumed by the prawn feast that we FORGOT to SNAP PICTURES of the rest of it! Ooops!
